Biography

Originally from            Massachusetts educated  as a Language Teacher and Art            Historian  has been working  as  an            Artist , painter  exhibiting extensively in USA and            Europe, Lived in Tennessee where she  graduated from            Vanderbilt University (French and German), lived in  Sweden            and took a degree  in Art History (Phil. Cand.)   at Lund’s            University Lund Sweden ,            a teaching degree in Modern Language from Miami University

Lived  in            :Florida, Austria, France, Spain, Sweden and  Denmark,, teaching Art,            Language , computer,  doing Translations  and  Web            Design , Tourist Guide  in Spain, speaks 8 languages
 Art includes  Paintings from Faroe Islands ,            Iceland, Denmark, Florida ,Spain ,Italy
          favorite motives are  the Sea, Nature,            Birds. Known for paintings with the "Playing Puffins"

         Whimsical, colorful, joyous , spontaneous ,  a            celebration of life ,  imaginative  with primitive  charm

          Artist Statement:
         My work is mainly influenced by the beauty I find in "Nature" mainly            from "the Sea" also plants and animals. It is a celebration of life in            joyous colors,

          Working in mainly in acrylic and watercolors, but also   egg tempera,            collages graphics, and painting on silk, some large wall hangings and            wall murals.

          Are whimsical, colorful, spontaneous, Joyful, a celebration of            life, humoristic,narrative,reflecting joy in nature, plants and            animals, especially the Sea and Seaside, narrative .humoristic.
